Beautiful story and illustrations
This is one of my favorite new additions to my children's library! Filled with wonderful pages of color and illustrations that draw you and make you feel part of the magic. Wonderfully done!

Good to share with those who may be needing a little reassurance about their place in the family
I originally looked for this book because I’m a huge fan of @brionymaysmith illustrations. When I opened it, I wasn’t disappointed. Her drawings are just as captivating as the ones that grabbed my heart in MARGARET’S UNICORN. These, too, draw you into the story, and immediately invite you to read more. When you do, you meet the loving family and instantly feel right at home. This tale is especially good to share with your little ones who may be needing a little reassurance about their place in the family. They’ll recognize themselves, because they too might dream of being the star of the family and outshining their older siblings. And they’ll find comfort and reassurance when Granddad wisely explains the wonders of the stardust. It’s truly one you’ll want to add to your family’s TBR list!

Learning to Shine in Your Own Way
In STARDUST, a young girl tries her best to win praise from her parents and grandparents, but her older sister always seems to outshine her. They all call her star. Only the little girl’s grandfather seems to notice her sadness. One night she tells him of her sadness and how much she wants to be a star like her sister. Her grandfather tells her that she already is. She’s just a star that has to figure out her own way of shining. What I liked most about this story is the way the relationship between the grandfather and the little girl was portrayed. With a nice moral, fine illustrations, and a happy ending, STARDUST is a fine children’s book.

A must have for your collection!
The storyline expresses the younger siblings wish to be a star and shine just as brightly as their older sister who exceeds at everything.I really enjoyed the story and found myself in the characters position when I once struggled to find my place while constantly in my sisters shadow growing up. The author of the story not only handled the context well, but delivered it in a very heartwarming way! The illustrations are also beautifully displayed and has a unique style I find myself swooning over. I also adored the relationship with her grandfather, when he noticed her personal struggles weighing on her and offers kind words of advice on how everyone is made of stardust and shine in different ways. Lovely read for all ages and in my storyteller collection for the families little ones to enjoy.

Shine on
From finding their mom's lost wedding ring to winning the school costume competition, the narrator's sister is always the star, which is beyond frustrating. All the main character wants is to be a star, too. It isn't until her grandfather explains the birth of our universe and proclaims we are all made of stardust that the young girl recognizes that she is also special. A lot of young readers will connect to the narrator's struggle to stand out and will be comforted by the book's message. The rich mixed media illustrations done in darker colors complement the text perfectly. This book will be enjoyed as a class read aloud and independently.

Everyone is Special
A little girl always feels left out of the spotlight. Everyone calls her sister a star and she's just not quite as good at everything despite her best wishes. Grandpa comes to the rescue explaining the world was made with a bang and literally everything in our universe is made of stardust, even her! I loved that special bond between Granddad and Granddaughter. I thought the story fell a little flat and she should have had a chance to shine. What is really special about this book are the gorgeous illustrations and especially the colors. It is such a pretty book! #stardust

Beautiful pictures but story missing depth and meaning.
Illustrations were beautiful but the story was lacking. It could have been sweet, deep, more meaningful, about how we are unique or have different strengths and those are valuable but unfortunately it did not go there and the ending was just fluff. Really wanted to love it but was disappointed.

Disappointed
I was excited to pick up this book because it had beautiful illustration but it’s just propaganda for “the big bang theory.” Seriously, there’s so many liberal agendas being pushed on your child already, skip this book.

Lovely book for younger children
Lovely book for younger children about learning to accept/love yourself and your value. I’d probably recommend this for young children just starting school as it’s a lovely message that will be relevant to them learning to be around different children who they’ll be comparing themselves to. Easy to read and beautiful illustrations.

A lovely story
A lovely story. My six year old wasn't completely entertained but that's his personal taste as I thought it was beautiful. The illustrations are also lovely! My son noticed at the end that she was an adult on the final page which I thought was a magical, sentimental touch!
