Q: How to delete the old record?

It is hard to explain but on the right side of the device is a switch that moves up and down. It has to be in the down position and then you hold the top right button on the front and the screen will give you 3 options. 1 delete file 2 delete all 3 exit. Use the up and down arrow buttons on the right side to choose your option. I hope I was able to help.

Q: How much heat can this device take if left in the car during the summer. The same for deep winter.

I definitely wouldn’t leave it in the car in the heat, or in extreme cold temperatures. This goes for any of my electronics. You could also get stolen, and you may have some private info recorded that you would lose to a thief and stranger.
