Just William by Richmal Crompton Collection Set: (Titles Contain Just William, More William, William Again, William the Fourth, Still William, William ... in Trouble, William the Good, William)

These books are delightful and entertaining. I originally got curious about these after watching the Good Omens miniseries, where they made a cameo appearance in Aziraphale's book shop. William is a mischevous boy with an unfortunate tendency to get into trouble despite his good (not to mention well-rationalized) intentions. He just means so well and it always goes so wrong. Fun books, especially if you're into vintage British children's literature.

My husband read these books as a young boy in England. I got them as a surprise and he actually got tears in his eyes, he was so happy! Not the best of quality (a little flimsy) but good enough for the price and his reaction was priceless.

I enjoyed these books so much as a child that I couldn't help purchasing them for my grandson when I saw them at Amazon. I was pleased, when reading them with him, to find, that William's "wicked" ways still have the capacity to enthral & amuse both young boys & their elders.

Brand new books for my grandson. I grew up reading these books and I'm now 64. I'm sure my grandson will derive as much pleasure from these books as I did.

These books are wonderful. I wish I'd had them as a kid and I want to get more copies for my niece and nephew. As soon as I finished all 10 I started reading them again. I love the drawings, the writing style, the characters...You won't regret this.

Recd the set of 'William' books , and am so happy to be revisiting with William. My daughter is in splits of laughter reading the stories. The prints are good, and the order arrived much earlier than expected. Excellent buy!

Great stories!

As a life-long 'William' fan, this collection is a bargain. To my mind, that brilliant actor and Rugby enthusiast - and star of the memorable 'Outnumbered' TV series - young Daniel Roche was the perfect choice for 'William'. Sadly, he was let down by his supporting cast and the TV series ran for just a few episodes. That Macmillan chose to publish this collection of books to tie-in with the TV series indicates that they expected the TV adaptation to continue. Alas, it was not to be. But Daniel Roche can be proud of his contribution to the all too brief TV adaptation.

Given the age of these books, they are in good condition. Sadly the boy for whom they were intended, though an avid reader ( aged nearly 10 ) found them hard going, so they have been put aside for a while.

Quick delivery and a good price for 10 new books. Essential reading for all adults who like a bit of escapism by remembering their childhood. Many hilarious moments here! A nice change from detective/crime novels.
