It's not an urn
Okay I don't do reviews but I swear on my life this thing is amazing. First off, get over yourself if you wanna call this an urn, looking at me all sideways. If you wanna hold 64 ounces of cold ass water, it's gotta be a big canister. I bought this in April and it's May 4th and the water still cold. Get out of here. What is this? Seriously get it. Your water will be cold all day and it's getting me a ton of ladies saying "what's up" at the gym. I don't go to the gym, I lied. I'm sorry.

It works
My actual score for this product is 3.5 but since half stars aren't possible I chose to grade on a curve. This product is well-constructed, durable and comes equipped with a leak-resistant lid that competitors often force customers to pay an additional amount to receive. That's why I graded the cup on a bit of a curve. As for performance, I compared this cup with an Rtic 30oz tumbler, an Ozark Trail 30oz tumbler and a generic 40oz powder-coated bottle I purchased from WalMart called a Quench Hydration. I am not a professional reviewer I just made a new year's resolution aimed at drinking more water which led me to purchasing multiple tumblers and bottles. I quickly found that drinking vessels without insulation not only failed to keep water cold enough to be palatable for long, but left rings all over my workspace on the job and furniture at home as well. For my purposes keeping items cold was most important so I never tested out the heat retention features. I filled each cup or bottle to the top with ice and kept track of how long each retained their ice before melting. I retained one uninsulated bottle as the control subject to get a gauge on when ice should melt and wanted to reference the rate at which the other cups/bottles let ice melt.As expected, the uninsulated bottle's ice had melted down to liquid within a couple of hours at room temperature. To my surprise, the $11 Quench Hydration 40oz powder-coated bottle held ice longest. I stopped counting after 72 hours. It was the most expensive item on my list at $11.00 and was by far the best performing. The Ozark Trail & Rtic Tumblers held ice for over 30 hours in a room temperature environment. The Magnum Solace 30oz tumbler came in last holding ice for around 20 hours at room temperature. My liquid stayed cold for a full 24 hours, but by 27 hours the Magnum was at room temperature. Meanwhile, both the Ozark Trail and Rtic tumblers kept liquid cold for around 34 hours. In practical use for someone who only treks from the office, to the gym and then home it's hard to go wrong any quality double-walled, vacuum insulated product. While the Magnum Solace doesn't quite have the staying power of the Ozark Trail or the Rtic tumblers, it is the cup I use most often because of the closing lid. I paid 10 bucks for the Magnum Solace on Amazon and found it a fair price.

Can’t remove dishwasher soap smell
So I had this product for about 6 months now. It’s overall an okay product, but it does have 3 major flaws:1. The plastic lid, though dishwasher safe, smells like dishwasher soup. There is no way to get the smell out of the lid, nor the straws. I wish I’d knew in advance.2. The unit itself is somewhat wobbly. It does stand on a surface flat, but it is not very stable at that. I can’t count the amount of times this thing fell over and spilled water on my floor3. The lid’s rubber seal moves around with use and becomes somewhat lose. The lid’s straw opening design is such, that you will spill water with sudden movement.

Love this cup!
I am on the go a lot and drink a lot of water throughout the day. This beautiful cup makes this so easy. I love that the lid can be closed to prevent spills. I had a different cup with lid that wasn’t able to close and one day it tipped out of my cup holder and onto the passenger side floorboard. All I could do was sit there and watch the water glug out of the open lid until I could pull over and pick it up. With this cup, I can keep the lid slid shut and avoid all that mess! Also, super great customer service from this company! Before I even received my order, I received an email from them thanking me for my purchase. I also have received an email about the warranty and an easy link to register product for that warranty. Not many companies out there any more that actually care about their customers or their product for that matter. Not so with this company. They care! I will reorder from them!

High hopes but the top fell short.
In all aspects this tumbler is great, with exception to the sliding top device. I will refer to this as a "latch" (pictured)This is actually my 2nd top. My first, the sliding "latch" pegs that attach it to the actual top became soft and bendy after 2-3 weeks of use and washing (it also looked nasty as this one does in the photo). I wrote customer service and they were top knotch, sending me an entire new top assembly free of charge.Ok. Started using the new top. About a month has passed. I use and was this cup by hand daily. Once a week I will put it through the dishwasher. Apparently the "latches" on these tops appear to be made of some hard rubber as the pegs are again soft and this latch looks cloudy and nasty. It looks like mold or bacteria but doesnt scrub off. I tried picking at it with my finger and it basically pulls chunks of it off but its actually pieces of this latch. Further puzzling is the once hard pegs now seem rubbery and very pliable. I can actually stretch them. Not sure why this doesnt appear to be the same hard plastic top that it once snapped on. Its a shame to ditch the metal cup, but I will be looking for a replacement to hold my morning bp coffee in. I dont want to ingest this substance.Bottom is tops and is a great size as well as the sealing lid, which the latch opened/closed.
