Q: I'm using these wires with an Ampper battery disconnect. Is it normal for the wires to get really hot? Using it on my truck.

Well two things, yes and no. Really hot could mean you don't have big enough wire size to handle the amps, but also, if used under the hood, obviously everything gets hot. 6 gauge wire can hold 100 amps for only a length of about 6 feet. Now it can also hold 150 amps, but only for a length of 4 feet.
