I am going to write an honest review for a few reasons:1. After reading the reviews, some people love it, some people hate it, but there aren't any reviews that accurately talk about the pros and cons of this product.2. Some of the bad reviews, quite frankly, are just plain stupid & unjust. This product is not cheap and will not break easily. I have been using for 2 weeks now and drive highway and in the streets of Philadelphia(if you have never driven in philly, let me tell you the street are horrible and potholes are everywhere), but also this product is not perfect, but it is very very good.3. There needs to be a review that tells it how it is, and goes over all the nuances of this product.4. I cant vouch for the CD version. I would recommend the vent version, but I will also say I am sure the CD one works just fine if you push it in deep and keep the screw tight(more on that later). Most of this review will still be relevant even if you are purchasing the CD version.REVIEW:SIZING - 5 starsAs for sizing, this will fit ALL phone sizes and weights. I use an iPhone 6 plus and it is heavy and big, especially with my phone cover.STABILITY - 3.5 starsThe stability of this product is great if you follow a few instructions. The most important is that you need to put it in the bottom corner of your vent so that it is most stable and can use part of the dash to remain in place. I have included a pictures so you can see exactly what I mean. In addition, the screw that connects the clip to the holder needs to be very firmly tightened. Not to the point where you lose the ability to rotate the clip but so that the rotater is relatively firm when moving it around. Finally, you need to position your phone so that the top 2/3 of your phone is above the arms. You can see this in my pictures. If your phone is smaller and lighter it probably won't matter but for bigger and heavier phones I believe this is a must. If you follow my instructions above, this holder is absolutely amazing and will not fall of even with the biggest of bumps. Once and a while after taking your phone off and on, you might have to take the clip and push it back into your vent to keep it secure. Make sure that the clip is pushed as deeply into the vent as it will go.Because of the there are specific little instructions to make sure the holder is very secure, I can only give this section a 3.5, that being said it does still work if you don't do that, it just isn't as secure. I find that with my instructions it's extremely secure, I can easily use my phone while it is locked in place. There is not need for a bottom to hold your phone either it works just fine without it.FUNCTIONALITY - 5 starsThis product is great when it comes to it's functions. Adjusting it and attaching your phone can all be done with one hand. After you clip on your phone, press the two side button with your thumb and finger at the same time and it will open the arms and lock them. Once you do that, all's you have to do is gently push your phone in and the back of your phone will push the button located under the logo and lock the arms into place, automatically adjusting for your phone size. The holder will also rotate to whichever position you would like it in. Just as mentioned before, make sure the screw is tightened just right. I have no issues using my phone while it is attached.OVERALL - 4.5 stars (because I can only choose 4 stars or 5 stars, I chose 4 stars because it isn't quite perfect)When considering its price, functionality, and versatility with sizing, it is almost perfect. As long as you follow my instructions with where to place the clip, the screw knob, etc. you will find that this car holder is absolutely amazing for the price. It is one of the best ones you will find for under 10 dollars and for 6 dollars it really is hard to beat. If you want to go spend 15+ on a holder you will probably find something slightly better, but this one works just fine and I bought one for my gf, mom, and friend.

Bought this phone holder for my wife and it works so well that I went and bought one for myself and my car. They hold the phone great and they're easy to get the phone out of. Highly recommend it.

This keeps falling off my vent

This is a really stable phone holder especially seeing as it attaches to the air vent. It also grips iPhones and Samsungs equally well.

not very sturdy, but works

This cell phone air vent car mount holder is really handy. I was looking for something that wouldn't impede my field of vision by sticking to my windshield. This mount fits securely in my side air vent and holds my cell phone nice and snug. I was able to adjust it so that it stays steady and faces me so that it is easy to use my GPS or see the screen while I am driving. Recommended.

Well designed, strong hold and for 5.99. Who could ask for anything better. I can't see anyway to improve upon this product. It holds my phone securely and I never worry about it dropping. My boyfriend has had this for a couple months now and I am ordering one for myself to replace my magnet phone holder.

This is great! Easy to assemble and made well. The last one I had suctioned to the dash and stopped working a few weeks after I bought it. This one is great so far. It was well worth the price too.
