Bahco 31740 Plastic Wheel Reamer, Orange( )

Read some reviews about this being no good.I find it is fine.It is only for tidying up the end of the pipe so maybe my pipe cutter cuts a fairly clean cut so I don't have a lot of burrs to be removed.A tip may be not to shove it too hard against the pipe and just let it gently de-burr the ends.

You know when you see or find a tool and you think, that would be really handy. Bought it to solve a simple problem when plumbing, deburring the pipes. Primarily I bought this for plastic plumbing, just to provide a small lead in chamfer on the OD of the pipe to help assembly, prevent damage to 'O' rings etc. I expected a premium product from Bahco, alas its not, it is unable to put a neat chamfer on plastic pipe it just chews the edge up. I thought it may perform better on copper, not really, a lot of twisting action is required to deburr copper pipe and again leaves a poor finish. Also it won't fit std 40mm waste pipe. I could forgive its poor quality cheapo plastic construction if it at least worked. Don't understand why it has good reviews??
