So I have not used any other brands but this one.That being said it is very well built and easy to set u and use. It’s a good size and works perfect for what I needed it for. Not loud or squeakyI would buy it again but I don’t see this falling apart anytime soon.

Used this for a lawn renovation. Works well, the only drawback is the balance and door when trying to fill.

I have several patches of then grass around my house and I have been wanting to take care of them for sometime now. I went out and detached the areas and was dreading having to put down seed and then put dirt over it throughout the entire area. I saw this online and noted that it was $60 cheaper than one from a box store near my house here. I ordered it and it came right as I was pulling up with the lawn dirt to put in it. I put down 10 bags of lawn dirt in the time that it would’ve taken me to put down three of them and it spread it out perfectly. This is the best lawn tool I’ve ever ordered and It’s easy to put together and it’s a solid tool. It’s well made, and I think it’s going to last a long time.

I’m not sure why most people give this and other rollers a bad review except for issues with the gate mechanism. On this unit, it’s not a problem. I appreciate that they’re on the sides and not in the middle. They’re also extremely secure. The only issue, if you can call it one, is taking the time to ensure the gate is in the proper position prior to attempting to close it.If you look at my included photos, I’ve added one showing the best way to load material. The second shows the coverage.For coverage, if you’re expecting a 2” layer, as some peat moss bags suggest, that’s not going to happen. This is meant for coverage up to about a 1/4” to maybe a bit more if you make multiple passes.If I were to knock on anything it would be the difficulty of removing oversized debris to include sticks. In the bags I purchased, there would be a couple handfuls per bag. I lifted this onto my trashcan and opened the door to shake it out. It’s not exactly easy to handle. I suppose you could detach the push/pull handle each time but I won’t be doing this.Overall, for planting new grass seed and patching, the 1/4” layer is doing just fine. The assembly was easy and the unit appears to be rather solid.

Don't listen to the negative reviews. Arrived on time, easily assembled, and worked better at spreading material than I expected. A very good product in my experience.

This worked very well. Used it to spread 2600 sqft of peat moss over my yard that I just overseeded. Very easy to move around and did a great job of leaving a even amount everywhere. Definitely a time saver

After reading some bad reviews I normally can pick out the ones that are BS. So I ordered this. The drum is pretty much one piece all you have to do is attach the handle. Took about 5 minutes to put together. The powder coating on this thing is really thick. The construction of the drum is heavy metal so it will last a long time. The handle adjustability is meh, it only moves up about 2 in. The thing is a tank and will last you a long time. Glad I purchased this I put it to use immediately and it hasn't let me down. I wish they had some type of attachment to hook it to the back of the lawn tractor. It's built strong and better than probably the name brand ones. It's easy to use and easy to clean. It's the perfect size when it's full it's not very heavy to push.
