Great embroidery kit for a cheap price!! Good quality!!
I am very satisfied with this embroidery kit. It's good for beginners and experts. This is a way cheaper price than buying all these items separately, such as the embroidery hoops and embroidery floss. All the items came as described and are good quality. I honestly have no complaints. This kit came with many needles with varying sizes. The needles are sharp enough to go through fabric but not sharp enough to poke skin, so it is good for children to use. The scissors came in a different color, so I believe the color is random for the scissors. I have never embroidered in my life until I bought this kit and I am very satisfied! I didn't use the White Cotton Aidas (fabric used to cross stitch) yet, but it seems to be good quality. I used fabric from an old shirt to embroider instead. The bamboo embroidery hoops are great too! The embroidery floss is made up of 6 strands. After cutting an arm's length of floss, I split the strand in half to create two 3-strand embroidery floss. All you really need to embroider are needles, scissors, floss, hoops, and fabric. I didn't use the other tools. I recommend buy this kit, especially since it is the cheapest kit on Amazon.

Kit was everything as posted, great beginners kit!
My granddaughter expressed interest in freehand embroidery at the last minute before the last week of Christmas. I searched for the best value for all accessories that might help her and this kit seemed perfect. My impression is that this kit was well packaged, everything was received as described including all 100 thread skeins intact. I did purchase other items elsewhere that I was nervous about arriving on time, and this kit and those items made a perfect gift . Received on time and in time for Christmas ! A great deal for starters.

Great Value
I was a little hesitant when I bought this as there seemed to be a bit of mixed reviews on the kit, but I'm glad I did! There's a huge variety of colors, all clearly labeled. I haven't had an issue with the quality of thread or the needles so far. The hoop I used has been great, sturdy, and tightens nicely and the wood is smooth. I have not used the cloth that came with the kit yet, but it seems similar to cloth I've used before so I don't think it will cause any issues. Everything seems to be of reasonably good quality for the price and I wasn't missing any of the pieces reported to come with the kit. Definitely worth the money if you're just starting out and don't want to break the bank on supplies.

Worth the Cost, a Good Starter
This product has everything a beginner will need to start their first project. The cons of this bundle is that the hoops themselves are somewhat splintering and it is difficult to get the fabric to properly set in them. I also would have liked longer needles and more thread holders because of the large number of different colors. That being said, the thread that is included is amazing and has a perfect variety of colors. The 'clippers' work very well. I like how this set was packaged, it makes it easy to clean up since there are just the right amount of separate baggies to hold all the different parts. I have kept the original packaging and just carry it around by sliding the bag into my tote bag. Because the hoops feel cheap and hard to use, I would not buy this for a gift for someone, however if this is a personal buy, I highly recommend it.

Great for beginners
After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant, but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I'm glad I went for it. There's a nice variety of threads, and though they're not a brand name, I don't cross-stitch patterns that are very strict on color selection, so I don't mind. The Aida cloth is rather stiff as some other commenters have said, but it relaxes with either washing or working with it. The thread is not extremely durable, as I've already had one get shredded by the cloth in the middle of my first project, but overall for the price you can't really complain. I just snipped that one thread and continued on, and it's been fine since. Maybe on my next project I'll wash the Aida beforehand so it's not stiff enough to scrape the thread. The "scissors" are more thread-nippers than anything. You have to squeeze them at the right angle to get a decent cut, but they serve alright and are nicely portable. The issue isn't with the sharpness, but with the tension between the blades. The holes on the needles are plenty large enough to fit the thread through without the included needle threaders, but I have very steady hands so I'm sure the threaders are a nice addition for those with trouble getting it through. There's no problems with the hoops in my kit either, they're smooth and not the highest quality but perfectly serviceable. One complaint I keep seeing that isn't really an issue - the needles that come with this are dull because they're specifically designed for use with the included cloth. The dull point helps to prevent accidentally sticking yourself over and over again while still being sharp enough to get through the open holes in the weave, and it allows you to run the needle tip over the back of the cloth to find the holes without looking. If you're going to be embroidering on fabric with a tighter weave, you WILL need to buy sharper needles separately, but it's not a design flaw. These are specifically cross-stitching needles for use with Aida cloth.I still don't know what the little metal pieces with hooks at the end are... If you know, can you reply?

cross stitch starter kit
I received everything just as described (1 extra needle I think), and everything seems to be good quality. The embroidery floss is soft and lustrous and it's hard to distinguish it from the expensive DMC from the craft store. They have the DMC numbers on them, so that makes it easier to choose colors. The aida cloth is slighter smaller than the description, about 11.5" x 17.5", but other than that it seems fine. I think the kit was a great value and perfect for someone just getting started in cross stitch. Everything you need is included except patterns, and you can print those out free online.
