Can't use this for an air horn
The seller did ship fast and technically the item works. The valve does not let enough volume of air through to operate an air horn though. I was trying to replace a Grover solenoid that had the same sized ports but sadly, the horn squeaks instead of honks. Not much money to waste really, it was worth a shot.

This gets hot.
I took my chances on this valve because similar ones I looked at had reviews that said they over-heated and this one didn't . However, this model operated on 12v DC gets too hot to touch after 10 minutes. I'm sure it would catch on fire before an hour passed. That's unfortunate because I'm building a circuit that controls this to heat my greenhouse. I figure on a cold morning following a cold night this solenoid valve might have to be on for an hour before the temperature gets up. I thought I was going to have to order a more expensive one that used more coils of copper wire in the solenoid, but first tried lashing a large aluminum heat sink to it. And SURPRISE, that worked. It lasted 90 minutes and did not get too hot to touch. So that will work as long as you have a spare heat sink. As for how long it will last or how well it seals, I won't know until I start using it.

Order Epoxy Too (Updated for Supplier Response)
Others have mentioned that the threads on these aren't necessarily fully formed (knew that when I ordered), but on the 1/8" version I received, one of the two wasn't even fixable with a tap because somehow the existing threads were off center on the bore (one wall was smooth). I needed to get something running so I ended up JB-welding a pipe nipple into the opening to make it usable. The valves seem to work OK, so if you're willing to put up with probably tapping and possibly taking more drastic action to hook them up, go for it.UPDATE 10/25/2021 - The supplier contacted me to let me know they've changed manufacturers for the valve because of the reported quality issues. I've updated this review and added a star for the supplier actually reading the customer reviews and trying to compensate for the issue. Since I have no way of confirming the change in manufacturer I feel I have to leave this review in place as fair warning, but note that the supplier is willing to work with you. Pay attention to reviews after this date to see if QA reports improve, and recognize that there's almost always an effort/cost trade to be made in buying products at this relatively low price point.

Works fine, no issues.
Just what I needed.

Threads on 1 side needed chased
I didn't expect much from these with the price and I inspected both on arrival. The solenoids shifted good but the threads on 1 side were not cleanly cut. You either need to chase the threads with a tap (aluminum so easy to do) or use plenty of Teflon tape and not overtighten the fittings you use. They have worked great for over a month now and used for indoor garden controlled by Raspberry Pi. I will buy more of these in the future!
